Relax and unwind on your own 20 plus acres in a 2800 square foot luxury log cabin

right on the Little River in Ennice [Sparta], North Carolina.

As you travel to the cabin, the road meanders between horse pastures, woodlands, and a few year-round and summer homes.  It’s quite typical to come across wild deer, turkey and rabbit as you journey closer to the bend in the river. Once you enter Riverbend’s long private drive, not another house can be seen. Riverbend's driveway is a bit like a journey into the 100 Acre Woods -- it is a slow beautiful descent from an elevation above the river to a gorgeous clearing on the riverfront. The ride through the dense woods on scissor-like turns is absolutely beautiful!

The Little River runs in front of this luxury 2800 square foot North Carolina cabin (over 1,000' of river frontage) and is literally a stone's throw from the front porch. There is a terraced path from the house to the river, terraced seating areas below the house looking out onto the water and a wide-open flat lawn. The lawn is decked out with a professional stone masonry fire pit for barbecues, bon fires and hangouts; custom benches; sitting areas; hammocks; a wood bench swing, and lots of play space. Our guest book is filled with great fishing stories.  And while some of our guests may be skilled fishermen, we believe that they have success, in part, because this part of the river is pretty darn inaccessible.

Aside from the state of relaxation you are sure to experience, you can also be in two U.S. states at once. The Virginia/North Carolina state line runs right through our garage!

Well Behaved Pet Policy:

The owners, who have a dog of their own, pride themselves on offering Riverbend without any visible or invisible [sniff, sniff] signs that pets sometimes visit our property.  We pay our cleaning people extra for a deeper clean after a pet has been on property.  In short, we want non-dog people to be just as happy when they stay with us, and that means Riverbend must remain pristine and damage/odor free. That said, we love dogs at Riverbend. We allow guests to bring a maximum of two well-behaved, well-groomed, well-trained dogs. We personally love cats, but due to allergy concerns, we do not allow them at Riverbend. Our non-refundable pet fees are cheaper than a boarding facility. You must certify that your pet has current shots, is safe, house broken, won't chew, won't climb on furniture, and doesn't bite.

Checkin/Checkout:

Normal arrival is 3 pm and departure is 11 am; however, if we don't have back-to-back reservations with yours, we sometimes allow arrival as early as you'd like and departure as late as you'd like.  Please ask about this when you make your inquiry!
